Don is currently pioneering a new breed of guitars, a "hybrid" of sorts which marries together the finest quality wood, the rich sustaining tone of acrylic, and the art of new design. These guitars must be played to be believed, and are beautiful to behold.
The latest offering from Bell Custom Guitars represents the rebirth of Don's original concept, and reflects the design for future models. This particular guitar was built for Paul from the Van Halen cover band, Xes Whiskey.
The CTS comes standard with a maple body fused with acrylic, modern shaped maple neck, satin polyurethane finish, 22 frets, 1 single coil and 1 hum-bucker pickup, master volume, 3 way position switch, Floyd Rose® tremolo system with locking nut, Schaller Deluxe® tuners, chrome hardware, 25.5" scale length, 1.6875 width at nut, a hard shell case, t-shirt & sticker.
Was endorsed by Jackson Guitars in 2002, was approached by Edel (Jackson rep) while playing around on one of the new "Randy Rhoads" Jackson guitars at the Arlington Guitar Show, I told Edel that I've been playin Jackson Guitars for many years and how familiar I was with most of the Jackson products and history of the company and I was asked to join the Jackson family as a clinician.
In 2003 Fender bought the Jackson Guitar company. Working as a Charvel Jackson guitars clinician has opened many doors for me and has gotten me more endorsements in 2004 and 2005. I'm very happy with my DK3 Jackson flame and my one of kind Jackson Warrior flame...
